Eyedeal Donates 5,000 Intraocular Lenses to the Chinese Foundation for Lifeline Express to Support the “Silk Road of Health” Initiative
On August 12, Xi’an Eyedeal Medical Technology Co., Ltd. announced the donation of 5,000 high-performance intraocular lenses to the Chinese Foundation for Lifeline Express. These lenses will be used in Chinese Lifeline Express’ charitable cataract surgery programs across China and Belt and Road partner countries. The entire donation will support free surgeries, helping more patients at home and abroad regain their sight.
Wei Guo, Secretary-General of the Chinese Foundation for Lifeline Express, expressed gratitude for Eyedeal’s generous contribution:“The Foundation is committed to providing free cataract surgeries to people in underdeveloped regions of China and Belt and Road partner countries. To date, we’ve successfully performed over 230,000 surgeries, and this would not have been possible without the strong support of socially responsible enterprises like Eyedeal.”
During the event, Guangxu Guo, Chairman and CEO of Xi’an Eyedeal, shared insights into the company’s development — covering its technological platform creation, R&D achievements, talent cultivation, corporate social responsibility, and international scientific cooperation. He noted that Eyedeal’s advances in innovation and materials science stem from years of sustained global collaboration:“Eyedeal will continue to leverage its strengths with an open mindset, welcoming ophthalmologists from around the world to visit, exchange ideas, and conduct cross-disciplinary cooperation. We offer technical services such as material selection, pilot production, and engineering support, turning clinical research concepts into real-world products and driving the translation of science into practical progress for the industry.”
Meiqi Hu, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the National Health Commission, affirmed Eyedeal’s positive role in advancing medical development through innovation and fulfilling social responsibilities:“The Chinese Lifeline Express project has been a public welfare initiative guided by the National Health Commission and implemented by our center for 27 years. We are very pleased that Eyedeal has joined this meaningful cause, bringing fresh momentum to its sustainable development. I hope this collaboration can serve as a bridge for deeper engagement between Eyedeal and its counterparts in Central Asia, forging a mutually beneficial ‘Silk Road of Health.’”
Before the donation ceremony, Deputy Director Meiqi Hu led a delegation of health officials from Central Asian countries to visit Eyedeal’s R&D center and pilot production facility. The delegation observed the precision manufacturing processes for high-end ophthalmic medical devices and learned about the company’s latest breakthroughs in new materials, product design, and medical-engineering integration. The Central Asian ophthalmologists expressed strong interest in Eyedeal’s proprietary technologies and innovative products and voiced a keen desire to pursue deeper collaboration.
The Chinese Lifeline Express is a train-based charitable ophthalmic hospital. The “International Brightness Journey” project, organized by the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the National Health Commission, aims to provide free cataract surgeries for impoverished patients in Belt and Road partner countries, while also training local ophthalmologists and fostering academic exchange.
