{"id":107946,"date":"2023-11-28T15:23:48","date_gmt":"2023-11-28T07:23:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/?p=107946"},"modified":"2025-05-30T11:14:26","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T03:14:26","slug":"clinical-outcomes-of-eyedeals-pa60as1-monofocal-intraocular-lens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/en\/2023\/11\/28\/clinical-outcomes-of-eyedeals-pa60as1-monofocal-intraocular-lens\/","title":{"rendered":"Clinical Outcomes of \u00a0Eyedeal\u2019s PA60AS1 Monofocal Intraocular Lens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From 2019 to 2021, Xi\u2019an Eyedeal Medical Technology Co., Ltd. conducted a randomized, open-label, parallel-controlled clinical trial of its PA60AS1 hydrophobic acrylic aspheric intraocular lens (IOL) across multiple centers, including the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi\u2019an Jiaotong University in Xi\u2019an, China.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 186 subjects were enrolled in the study. Participants were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either the PA60AS1 IOL (treatment group) or the AcrySof IQ SN60WF IOL from Alcon (control group). Follow-up evaluations were conducted at 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months after implantation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Visual Performance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The PA60AS1 IOL demonstrated effective improvement in postoperative vision among cataract patients. Both the treatment and control groups showed significant improvement in visual acuity (best-corrected distance visual acuity and uncorrected distance visual acuity) from as early as postoperative day 1, compared to the baseline screening period. There were no statistically significant differences in the degree of improvement between the two groups (P &gt; 0.05).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><i><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-107990 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1255\" height=\"694\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/4.jpg 1255w, https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/4-300x166.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/4-1024x566.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/4-768x425.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1255px) 100vw, 1255px\" \/><\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><i>From one week after surgery through the final follow-up, patients in both groups maintained stable visual acuity.<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><i><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-107984 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1279\" height=\"716\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1.jpg 1279w, https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1-1024x573.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1-768x430.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1279px) 100vw, 1279px\" \/><\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><i>At six months post-surgery, 98.89% of eyes implanted with the PA60AS1 IOL achieved best-corrected distance visual acuity of 4.70 or better.<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Safety:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The PA60AS1 hydrophobic acrylic aspheric IOL exhibited a strong safety profile. There were no significant differences in safety indicators between the treatment and control groups. No adverse events related to the surgery or the PA60AS1 IOL were reported in the treatment group.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-107988 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1277\" height=\"715\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/3.jpg 1277w, https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/3-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/3-1024x573.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.eyedeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/3-768x430.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1277px) 100vw, 1277px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Patient Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the patient satisfaction assessment, 100% of patients rated their satisfaction with both corrected and uncorrected vision as \u201cvery satisfied\u201d or \u201csatisfied\u201d at 36 months post-implantation.
